Rock group Three Days Grace is performing tomorrow at 7 pm at the VBC (Von Braun Center).  They’ll have opening acts featuring Chevelle and Adelitas Way. Tickets are $9. You may want to go to www.ticketmaster.com now to see if there are any tickets left. If people around Huntsville are huge Three Days Grace fans like I am, then I doubt there will be many left, so act now!

Do you think you’ll go to the concert?

There’s a New Bar in Town!

amendment 21Amendment 21, downtown Huntsville’s newest bar, opened last week in the former home of House of Brews, over on North Side Square. It’s a non-smoking, quiet bar that’s meant to have the feel of the big city. There isn’t a kitchen, but the drinks are made with fresh fruit grown locally. For $100 a month, patrons can recieve entry into an exclusive VIP section upstairs where you’ll be treated to a live band, and a more extensive drink collection. It’s hours are from 4pm to 2am Monday-Saturday.

I haven’t been there yet, but the idea of drinks with fresh fruit in them may be the deal breaker for me! $100 a month may be a little steep for my tastes, however, but this bar seems like a pretty good first stop for your night out on the town. As you all know, the 21st amendment was the one that ended the 18th amendment and repealed Prohibition. Such a clever name for such a quaint little bar!

The Black Eyed Peas Shut it Down in Birmingham!

Have you ever been to a Black-Eyed Peas concert? Well if not, you need to go! I was at the BJCC Saturday night and was blown away!

Now, from the performances that I’ve seen the group do on music shows such as the Grammys and the AMAs, I knew that the electric costumes and adrenaline pumping beats would keep me enthralled, but I at least expected a slight moment of downtown. Nope! I was uber excited the entire time.

The show opened with L.M.F.A.O performing their hit, “Shots”, which seemed to be a real crowd pleaser. (You just can’t help but rock to the beat!). Next came one of my personal favorites, Ludacris. He rocked the house, but I’m sure the show may have been a little much for parents who brought their kids to see the semi PG-13 show. : You’ve got to love Luda though.

When BEP hit the stage, you couldn’t deny that they know how to make an entrance! They were elevated from below the stage, and dancers dressed like robots followed them to the stage, while a huge, green holographic man spoke. They definitely set it off in the right way!

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I would highly recommend the show to anyone! Did anyone get a chance to go? Have you ever seen them in concert before? What awesome concerts have you been to?
